I mean there are so many blogs out there these days that appear to have no purpose at all behind them. I guess you could argue that this blog would be one of them, though I am here to enlighten any would be critics that this blog does indeed serve a purpose.
Truth be told it serves a lot of purposes, though I can’t say that it is anything particularly spectacular at what it does.
I enjoy blogging for blogging’s sake, which is to say that I love to write and it doesn’t much matter to me what I write or when or where. So long as the words that I have inside of me get out then I am content. This is one of the many purposes of this blog. If in the process I get to share something remotely meaningful with someone else then that too is a purpose.
What is the purpose of your blog?

my main blog has a very definite purpose. I started it as a place to get out my thoughts while very sick and it became a mission for me to spread the word and share my story on cancer in pregnancy. Then I realized I needed a place where that didn't exist as well. A break if you will from that sort of talk so I started my other blog. So yeah. I guess my blogs have a purpose ;)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a pretty positive purpose to me. I know that dealing with my mother-in-law's cancer was a very rough time for all of us, especially as it happened around the same time we lost our 2nd child. Blogging really is a way to get a lot of that junk out so we can move on.
ReplyDeleteThat is a question I have asked myself, a few days ago. My blog seems to have no specific niche, audience or purpose; it either is multi-faceted or aimless. :p
ReplyDeleteIt started off as an attempt to reach out to many other interesting folks, for the sake of building a network of good online pals. The ultimate purpose was to meet the big elusive love (which I did meet on that very blog of mine!). Alas, things seem to be on the rocks already. *sighs*
I like your clear way of writing. Rock on :)
